Yesterday I collaborated with Iven (@iventhepanda). We decided to go with a Full Face and Chest "Clown" Face and Body Paint.
This Face and Body Paint was heavily inspired by "Kimberley Margarita's" (@kimberleymargarita on IG) + @makeupbykelfey (IG) work to create this overall look, by taking inspiration and elements of what they have created to what I now call: "A Clown in Nature".
I loved the idea of not dragging out the Black lip on the opposite end of the lip, but instead use a Black Splatter effect coming out of the corner of the lip. We went with a typical diamond shape above and below the eye as seen recreated and interpreted in many other "Clown" make-up styles. I added a small circle under the diamond shape below and a variation of random spots and unshapely circles around the diamond above. The colour scheme we went with was mostly Pink and chose two colours I felt really complemented that - A Reddy colour and Blue. These colours looked amazing against the white face paint and the black. I mostly used TAG and Face Art Paints from BODY FX and Jeffree Star's BEAUTY KILLER Palette to create this.
I knew I didn't want this look to be precise, perfect or really well done. I intentionally left small areas not fully covered with paint for a sort of "Grunge" "Messy" look and feel we got that down pat.
Iven was the perfect natural model and I photographed these shots myself using my Fuji X-T20, we photographed in my front yard while the sun was out shining, we weren't sure how the photos would turn out or how good this look would do in an outdoor setting, against plants and bush - but I'm really happy with how the finished look came out!
